For episode 36, I chat with one of the co-founders of NYC-based collective and talent agency Discwoman --Frankie Decaiza Hutchinson.

She’s an incredible event organizer and promoter as well as a prominent voice and activist for diversity and representation within nightlife.

Hutchinson has planned and curated a number of shows all while giving space and opportunities to marginalized artists who are often overlooked in the industry.

With Frankie at the helm, Discwoman has showcased and represented a loaded roster filled with female producers, artists and, DJs. The label started in 2014 and has grown to produce and curate over 20 events in different cities across the globe.

In 2019, Hutchinson began to work on another passion dear to her heart and community work. The techno evangelist created Dweller, a 6-day festival celebrating Black artists from all walks of Electronic music. The festival also served as a way to pay homage to today’s artists pushing forward Electronic music’s undeniable influence and inception within Black culture.
