The DJ Shannon Show @ The Lot Radio 9/3/25

The DJ Shannon Show is live and direct on SoundCloud and YouTube. Thank you so much for tuning in this month. So many tracks had me buzzing and twirling in the studio, first starting with DJ Reezey’s “Golden,” an incredible edit of Jill Scott’s classic. The Philly-based producer freaked this one down, keeping the soulful essence of the original song, and morphing it into a club banger that I can’t wait to play out this weekend.

Later on in the show, we played a track from Japan-based producer Hayamie. His edit of Ice Spice’s “Deli” has an incredible UK funky vibe that is laden throughout, and those punchy wobbles go crazy.

Later on in the show, we hear tunes from XL Regular, two chuggy percussive tools for the dancers called “What?” and “Urumea” that give the right amount of tension and pull to get the crowd rocking. I also brought back a gem from the elusive DJ Tabac, a track called “Vétiver”—a smooth, sexy Baltimore banger that never gets old. And to top it off, we ended the show with some good old house, one favorite being the powerhouse house vocals of Maydie Myles on “You Got Me Forever (Club Asylum Classic Vocal)”—pure fire.

There’s a whole lot more included in this episode, so go check out the full tracklist below and grab what makes you get down. Thank you so much for listening.

SHOW ANNOUNCEMENTS

Coming up this month, if you're in the LA or Philadelphia area, I've got some incredible shows lined up. First stop is Los Angeles on Sept. 13 for the 7th anniversary of Made To Move, an amazing collective founded in 2018 that brings together DJs and dancers, creating a vibrant community space to share new music. It’s going to be a blast, and I’m honored to help celebrate the legacy they've built.

Then, on Sept. 27, we’re hitting Philadelphia for Solar Sounds, a genre-fluid event run by two powerhouse community leaders, Bianca and Sara! We're bringing the heat to The Barbary, and this will be my first time playing in Philly, so I’m counting on you all to come out and show some love. You can grab tickets for both events on my Resident Advisor page!
