The DJ Shannon Show @ The Lot Radio 10/29/25

October’s edition of The DJ Shannon Show on The Lot Radio has landed, and we came in hot with house music from every corner of the world. This month’s set was all about deep rhythms, soulful grooves, and the global spirit of dance culture. Here are some of my favorite tracks from this month’s show.

We kicked things off in Milan with two standout tracks—“I Like That” and “So Deep”—from the elusive Antony Hot, a soulful producer crafting deep house and garage cuts through the label Mikan Digital. “I Like That,” released back in July, sets the tone perfectly with its sleek basslines and understated warmth.

From there, we jetted south to Houston to catch up with OYE MANNY, who just dropped his new project Living Water via NYC’s Darker Than Wax. Manny’s music is soaked in his Colombian heritage, driven by percussion and groove. On Living Water, drums take the lead, from the chord-heavy house stompers “Malta Sip” to the darker club tones of “Visaje” and the slick musicality of “Youthful Expression,” which I played on the show. It’s an infectious blend of Latin rhythm and modern house energy that feels both global and deeply personal.

Keeping the vibe flowing, I dropped Karizma’s “Anutha Horn” off his long-awaited new album Can’t Call It, his first full-length since 2007’s A Mind of Its Own. This record carries that same spirit of experimentation, pushing the limits of genre as Karizma weaves between down-tempo soul, hip-hop, house, and electronic dance music. His production is still as emotive and floor-moving as ever.

We also revisited a classic: DJ Rush’s “Microchip”, originally from his 1991 Child’s Play EP, which just got a 2024 reissue on Chiwax. Over 30 years later, this track remains incredibly versatile—proof that timeless energy never fades.

And then we turned things up with Afro Bros, the Amsterdam-based duo behind their self-described “Booty Beats” sound. Their productions are pure fun, rooted in Latin House, Tribal House, Reggaeton, and Bachata, blending global rhythms into dancefloor joy. If you’re looking for tracks to add to your playlist—or bangers to work out to—check out their Classics 2012-2016 compilation, their “Directoria do crime (Bootleg)” and “Mamakossa (Afro Bros & Stiekz Bootleg)” gets me grooving every time!

Before wrapping up the show, I shared another edition of the  Affirmations segment that you all really seem to love. Don’t let fear hold you back. Scrolling through my Instagram recently, I came across a photo from my very first DJ set at a 300-cap venue called Mao’s Live House in Chongqing, China. Looking back, it reminded me how every great journey starts with one brave step (and maybe a shaky mix or two).

Keep sharing your talents with the world. You never know who you might impact with your gifts.

So wherever you are, keep showing up for your passions. Keep taking those leaps. And, of course, keep dancing!
